Elanna Etemad is a choreographer, performer, and lighting designer from Warren, NJ. After graduating with her AFA in Dance from Raritan Valley Community College, she went on to continue her education at Rutgers University as a BA in Dance. Elanna has presented work and performed at concerts such as the American College Dance Association’s annual regional conferences, Dance New Jersey’s Show Up and Dance, Rahway’s Culture Crawl, Main Street Theater Company’s Just Dance!, and Raritan Valley Community College’s Dance Works. She has also had the opportunity to perform pieces by Paulette Sears, Randy James, Loretta Fois, Barbara Angelina, Bani Ray, and many others. Her theater work specializes in dance production and lighting design. She is also certified in programming ETC lighting consols. Elanna’s current choreographic pursuits are to bring joy back to the modern dance world and to explore non-traditional sources of inspiration to influence the movement vocabulary.
